For my first CTER class, I created Mt. Rockalot, WebQuest for my fourth grade students. Its purpose it to help increase their use of technology. The topic of the WebQuest is rocks - one of my favorite science chapters. |

For another class, I created the Northwest School Technology Handbook. Its purpose is to help the staff of Northwest School better understand the local network as well as the Internet in general. It is also meant to help teachers to improve their use of technology in their curriculum. |

CTER provided me the opportunity to assist in the development of assessment for The Sue Files an online curriculum based on Sue the T-rex, the largest and most complete Tyrannosaurs rex ever found. In December 2000, my science classes were some of the first students to participate in the curriculum. By the end of the lessons, they were "Sue Crazy." We were able to finish the unit with a special trip to the Field Museum. |

For my most recent project I have focused on Susan Kirby's series of historical fiction called American Quilts. I worked with Mrs. Kirby, a local Illinois author. The site includes pictures of quilts and the local settings of the stories. It also includes activities based on the books. The site is meant to serve as a reference and supplement for teachers as well as to excite students about reading and history. |
